Job Function: Prison and Corrective Services Work Type: Ongoing - full time About this role Ongoing, full time position based in Morwell, VIC Help contribute to the rehabilitation of individuals leading to greater community safety Salary band of $86,691 - $93,275 plus superannuation plus yearly increases Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programs, services and community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex offences on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole. About the role: Case Managers in the Court Practice stream are responsible for applying evidence-based case management practices to individuals at medium or high risk of reoffending. This role is required to utilise case management practices to actively engage individuals and ensure responsive, targeted interventions to assist in reducing their risk of reoffending. Key responsibilities include: Identify and evaluate factors that relate to individual offending behaviour Motivate and influence individuals in the case management process Produce detailed reports and other standard documents in line with procedural guidelines Monitor individual's compliance against order requirements About you: Demonstrates assertiveness and confidence in dealing with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours Understanding of case management practices relating to complex individuals Practices modelling pro social behaviours and motivates those around them Pays attention to words, expression and body language; recognises behaviours that promote a culture of inclusion For more details on the position please review the position description attached or contact: At the Department of Justice and Community Safety, we provide every person with the means to achieve their potential through ongoing learning and development opportunities in a diverse, equitable and supportive environment.
