We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager (Chapter Lead) to lead the team of highly capable engineers. This role is pivotal in supporting the ongoing process of automating the existing environment and building new world class network solutions for the business. This role will be working very closely with the wider Network team to design and implement Network Monitoring Solution for the Group. Do work that matters: Lead and inspire a team of highly experienced and knowledgeable engineers. Work with the wider team of Engineers, Product owners, Chapter leads and Crew Tech Leads on solution designs for Cloud Network Automation services. Lead complex deliverables and solution planning, providing guidance and oversight to ensure that technical deliveries are aligned to engineering direction and strategy. Leverage excellent level of technical domain knowledge relevant to Chapter Area. Communicate Engineering Practice standards and consistent ways of working across the domain and CBA that align to industry standards. Role model a culture of engineering empowerment, autonomy, psychological safety and constructive challenge. Facilitate proactive dialogue with senior management and key stakeholders to remove blockers and ensure clear path to execution. Attract, develop and motivate engineering talent. Provide effective coaching to Engineers and establish mechanisms for peer-to-peer learning and mentoring. Take time to understand unique skill sets of team members, providing personalised feedback and guidance. Support the team to allocate time for code review, refactoring and tech debt elimination over feature delivery. We’re interested in hearing from people who possess the following: Extensive experience in people and engineering leadership, having a passion about leading people to become the best they can be. Experience in setting platform roadmaps and establishing technical pathways to the desired end state. Experience with software deployment systems and CICD pipelining. Foundational network knowledge and/or network engineering background. Experience with network observability tools is strongly regarded (Grafana, Prometheus). Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
