Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Chef / Cook to join our catering department at Avonlea in N'hill, Victoria on a casual basis working weekends, 9am - 4pm Saturdays and Sundays over the Christmas period. Requirements The Chef / Cook will work under the guidance of the Chef Manager to prepare, cook and serve nourishing, palatable and attractive in-house meals for residents which are consistent with the guidelines of the Food Safety Program. Applicants must be able to demonstrate: Previous experience in residential aged care or a similar commercial kitchen A relevant qualification A current national police certificate (or ability to acquire) to enable the individual to work in the aged care industry To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
