This senior strategic leadership role involves guiding the design, delivery, and maintenance of our diverse assets portfolio. You will be responsible for delivering major infrastructure projects, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your leadership will be crucial in creating a strong organisational culture that is customer-centric and focused on community outcomes. Your Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver strategic goals and navigate the political landscape. Oversee the budget and resources for your business unit, driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of safety and accountability. Develop contemporary strategies aligned with our Community Strategic Plan. As Chief Engineer, you will have expertise in asset management, infrastructure planning, and project delivery. You will lead a diverse team of professionals and have opportunities to make meaningful contributions to Council and our community. Requirements Degree qualifications in engineering or a related discipline. Professional standing within the engineering industry, with extensive project management experience. Proven leadership skills in multi-disciplinary team environments. Excellent strategic, analytical, and lateral thinking capabilities. Strong interpersonal skills and experience in stakeholder engagement. Ability to interpret legislation and manage budgets effectively.
