$112,495 - $129,369 + Super + Salary Sacrifice The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region. In keeping with IUIH’s Vision of healthy, strong and vibrant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities, the Family Health and Wellbeing Business Unit aims to support and deliver education and care from pre-conception, pregnancy and birthing care to early childhood, paediatric and extended family support services. About the Role The Child & Family Wellbeing Hub Manager is responsible for managing and improving the delivery of clinical and social wellbeing wrap around care to families and children during the preconception, antenatal, birthing, postnatal and early childhood period. With the goal of optimising access for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families to high quality, culturally safe, comprehensive care to enhance family functioning and to promote childhood development and parental wellbeing. Day to Day Duties Include: Manage and lead team to provide quality, value adding services in all aspects of child and maternal health services in accordance with community needs, priorities and State/Commonwealth Government funding and policy guidelines. Develop high level relationships with key agencies, organisations and service providers to foster collaboration and leverage resources to be applied to programs within the Birthing, Child, Families and Wellbeing unit. Work closely with Social Health, Child Health and Family Wellbeing to support the collection, collation and synthesis of data for program evaluation and continuous quality improvement. Utilising evidence-based, best practice, collaborate with Family Health & Wellbeing partners in the design, implementation and service delivery of specialised Paediatric services. Undertake detailed growth and development assessments utilising appropriate growth charts and screening tools. Ensure infants and children have a current completed 715 Health Assessment, commencing at 6 weeks of age; promote access and uptake of 715 Health Assessments by parents, siblings and caregivers. Facilitate access to and/or provide vaccinations according to the National Immunisation Program. About You Minimum of five years’ experience managing and leading multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated skills and experience working with children and families in a primary care setting. Broad understanding of attachment and trauma informed practice. Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD). AHPRA Registration as Registered Nurse or Midwife. Valid Disability Worker Screening Check. Post graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health (or working towards). Current First Aid and CPR Certificates. Desirable, but not mandatory: Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities. What Can we Offer?
