Base pay range A$130,000.00/yr - A$150,000.00/yr Hybrid working (2 Days in Office, 3 Days WFH) Industry leader in Commercial Marine & Heavy Motor Insurance Newly created role reporting into Executive Leader Growing Company, Career Development Opportunities Our newly created Claims Business Analyst opportunity will be developing and refining our claims reporting framework. You will be analysing key performance metrics, track claims costs, and provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. Reporting into the General Manager Claims & Operations you will be responsible for: Develop and enhance claims reporting frameworks to support data-driven decision-making. Capture and analyse key performance metrics to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities. Track claims costs from initial estimates to settlement, providing detailed breakdowns. Establish reporting on recovery data, including liability tracking for insured and third-party claims. Generate insights on claims trends, volumes, and deviations to support strategic decisions. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine reporting frameworks and align with business needs. Monitor service delivery, compliance (GICOP), and complaint management through reporting. Evaluate supplier performance, fraud risks, and claims efficiency to drive improvements. Support financial planning by providing insights into claims data, budgets, and cost-saving opportunities. Skills & Experience: A degree or diploma in Business, Finance, or a related field (certifications in Business Analysis or Information Systems are a plus). Experience in General Insurance Claims, particularly Motor/Vehicle and intermediated claims. A track record of process improvement, supplier performance management, and customer service enhancement. Strong data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting skills, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint expertise. Proven ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights and drive decision-making. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes. A commercial mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
