Cleaner - Newman Catholic College, Smithfield $30.26 to $31.23 gross per hour + 12.75% Super Commencement Date: Monday 3 March 2025 (or as negotiated) Employment Type: Term-time, Permanent Salary Range: $30.26 to $31.23 gross per hour plus 12.75% Super Closing Date for Applications: 3pm, Sunday 23 February (unless filled prior) About Newman Catholic College Newman Catholic College, co-located on James Cook University site, Smithfield, is Cairns Catholic Education’s newest college, joining a system of 29 other Catholic schools and colleges. Opened in 2022, with approximately 140 Year 7 students and growing a year level each year until Year 12 is reached in 2027, its location on and interaction with the University presents endless opportunities to meet the diverse learning needs of our students. Newman Catholic College works collaboratively with James Cook University so that learning and teaching is enhanced at all year levels. About the Role The employee appointed to this position will have competency at this level involving the application of knowledge and skills to a limited range of tasks and roles. There is a specific range of contexts where the choice of actions required is clear. Competencies are normally used within established routines, methods and procedures that are predictable and judgment against established criteria is also involved. This position works under direct and/or routine supervision, work is regularly checked, and reviewed on completion. The position may take the form of general guidance where working in teams is involved and may involve detailed instructions in some situations.
