Your new company Client is a specialist client-side construction consultancy based in SEQ. As a result of a couple of projects kicking off in the new year, they are looking to hire an experienced client-side project manager. The role is a full-function PM role with a particular focus on the multi-residential market, but buy to let as opposed to high-end/design-led residential. Your new role The role is a traditional client-side PM role, working as a specialist consultant for asset owners or developers to help deliver projects. The projects being large multi-res tend to be higher value, longer-term projects and require some additional experience in the traditional DM space, looking at feasibilities and working through the DA/town planning phase. As such, the preference is for experienced project managers with broad client-side skills, ideally with project experience covering apartment or townhouse developments. Excellent stakeholder skills are a must too. What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate would have a tertiary qualification in construction management or quantity surveying and broad experience in the sector. Suggest total experience of 6 years plus, with at least 2-3 years minimum experience working in a project management role either in-house for an asset owner in a project delivery role or working for a consultancy acting on their behalf. If you have experience in a PQS role or working front end for a developer, that would be looked upon favorably too. Candidates would need to have a confident, self-assured approach to help manage stakeholders and deliver the projects. Salary is negotiable based on experience, but would suggest PM level is 130-140k plus super as a guide with some flexibility if required.
