Client Support Case Worker (Adult) – Social Support Client Support Case Worker (Adult) – Social Support Administrative Officer 5 (AO5) or Professional 2 (P2) $88,297 - $107,554 plus Superannuation 2 Year Contract Darwin About the Legal Aid NT: Legal Aid NT is an independent statutory authority established under the Legal Aid Act 1990 (NT). Our purpose is to ensure that people in the Northern Territory understand their legal rights and disadvantaged people have access to quality legal services, and to uphold a fair Northern Territory and national justice system. About the role: Under the supervision of the Manager - Social Support and in collaboration with the Managing Solicitor of the Darwin Criminal Law Practice, the Client Support Case Worker provides individualised support and referral services to vulnerable clients charged with criminal offences, to ensure they receive appropriate non-legal support services. About you: The position requires a self-motivated person who has had experience working with vulnerable people and will focus on providing information, support, and assistance in referring people to appropriate services including accommodation, counselling, and rehabilitation services. The successful applicant will require an understanding of the criminal justice system and how it relates to vulnerable people. On-going training will be provided in relation to specific legal issues.
