Clinical - Mental Health, Business Development Manager Career Opportunity: Clinical - Mental Health, Business Development Manager Summary We’re looking for a vibrant, business-minded clinician with a passion for all matters ‘mental health’ to step into our role of Clinical Business Development Manager. This individual’s excellent relationship-building skills and marketing mind will play a key role in the growth and success of our Australian/Asia-Pacific market. The Clinical Business Development Manager will develop strong relationships with the thought leaders and organisations in the mental health field, keep a sharp eye on new developments and important conversations across the professional domains in mental health including psychotherapy, counselling, and psychology, and seek out new voices whose distinct perspectives and approaches will contribute to the valuable work of our growing audience of therapists. With their deep clinical knowledge, this person will assist in finding creative ways to shape the ever-evolving narrative of our field through both developing and sharing fresh, innovative, and in-demand continuing professional development (CPD). Leadership and project management skills are a must, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with our team based in Sydney and internationally. Responsibilities of the position Use current data and trends to develop impactful clinical partnerships that grow our mission to connect knowledge with need. Develop and cultivate relationships with associations, co-sponsor organisations, industry influencers, and key strategic partners. Negotiate agreements with potential partners and decision-makers within organisations. Identify and contribute to cutting-edge, clinically-oriented CPD programming by working with leading and upcoming experts in the field. Grow our Australian and Asia-Pacific audience through innovative ideas for content distribution and marketing. Create profitable events, courses, and clinical programmes that professionals will find useful and want to purchase. Stay abreast of the latest developments shaping the field of mental health including forward-thinking approaches to professional development education. Maintain a robust knowledge of standards, requirements, developments and stakeholders in the field. Work both independently and collaboratively by creating goals for yourself, meeting deadlines, and communicating ideas clearly to team members. Your Qualifications and Essentials At least 7 years’ experience as a psychotherapist, psychologist, counsellor, or mental health clinician with either a master’s degree or PhD in the aforementioned disciplines. A keen entrepreneurial drive with the ability to act independently with a sense of urgency and the confidence to handle a variety of challenges. Curious-minded conversationalist with great networking and marketing skills. Skilled at generating and shaping ideas, content, learning opportunities. Solid understanding of current trends and advances in therapy. Excellent communication and collaboration skills—as well as a creative, flexible, and fun disposition. Proven ability to develop and manage projects, including successful courses and events. Flexibility to be self-motivated but also excel in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks with great attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving skills in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
