Clinical Nurse (Practice Development Nurse - Children's Critical Care) Support nursing workforce development and growth, providing leadership and critical education and support to staff and families within the Children’s Critical Care Unit. An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Practice Development Nurse - Children's Critical Care Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Lead bedside education and support in complex clinical care Log and track mandatory competency and skill assessments Facilitate team in-services and staff training workshops Support and mentor colleagues to achieve clinical competence About you To be successful in this position you will require: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) About Us The Children's Critical Care Unit provides intensive care for children from birth to the end of schooling, who require specialist intensive care due to illness, accident or following a procedure (elective or emergency). The service accepts patients from all Gold Coast areas and surrounds including northern New South Wales.
