This is for a Fixed Term Full-Time appointment until 30 June 2026, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse to join the Public Health Unit in Carnarvon – Midwest. In this role, the successful applicant will: Work closely with the public health team, hospital clinicians, relevant key stakeholders, primary health care providers, and external agencies in the case management, documentation, and follow-up of clients with notifiable diseases. Participate in vaccine preventable and disease control programs including planning, surveillance, contact tracing, appropriate and timely follow-up of disease notifications and Western Australian Notifiable Infectious Disease Database (WANIDD) maintenance. Participate in epidemiological surveys and other duties as required. Act as a role model in the provision of care to patients. Responsible for the clinical supervision of Level 1 nurses and/or enrolled nurses. Position Profile: The primary responsibility of the Clinical Nurse is to manage, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive care for patients using leadership and advanced nursing skills and knowledge relevant to the Disease Control and Prevention setting. The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations.
