Clinical Nurse Specialist – Mental Health Triage This is for a Permanent Fulltime appointment at 76 hours per fortnight. An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Mental Health Triage team at Hedland Health Campus – Pilbara. To be successful you will be: motivated and experienced community mental health nurse looking to be part of a strong and dynamic team up for the challenge to showcase your advanced clinical skills in a culturally diverse community looking for an opportunity to enhance your clinical and leadership skills within a diverse team culture looking for the opportunity to work, develop and build relationships with the local communities to enable better health outcomes What we are looking for… Extensive experience as a Community Mental Health Nurse with demonstrated expert level skills in crisis intervention, assessment, treatment and case management of adults and seniors with complex mental disorders. Knowledge of Adult and Senior Mental Health service delivery systems. Skills in applying the National Standards for Mental Health Services at the organisational level and in clinical practice. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a multidisciplinary team and ability to work as an independent practitioner. Knowledge and ability to initiate and manage interventions under the Mental Health Act 2014 . Clinical leadership skills including skills in providing clinical supervision, line management and performance development with supervised staff. Position Profile: Responds to all contacts made to Pilbara Mental Health and Drug Service (Eastern Region), identifies the nature and appropriateness of the referrals, sets priorities for management, collates information for presentation at intake meetings, and coordinates emergency responses within the region. Liaison with government and non-government service providers to coordinate the provision of Mental Health Services to clients and provide educational support to those agencies. Undertakes senior level projects, represents the service and provides consultation at the state level as required. Undertakes analysis of clinical interventions and identifies trends within programs and reports appropriately.
