Cancer Trials Unit are looking for a Clinical Trial Coordinator – Health Practitioner to join their Princess Alexandra Hospital team. The Clinical Trial Coordinator – Health Practitioner (HP-CTC) provides clinical, problem-solving, planning and coordination skills in the management of cancer patients on haematology, medical oncology and radiation oncology clinical trials with complex care needs, commensurate with level of experience. The Clinical Trial Coordinator - Health Practitioner provides direct and indirect care and works in collaboration with investigators and research nurses, whilst ensuring quality standards are met relevant to the scope of practice required of this role. This role works collaboratively within the Healthcare Team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering of clinical trial coordination. This position provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education and research. About You: To be successful in this role you will possess the following: Ability to deliver a competent level of clinical research management services within the Cancer Trials Unit and the larger multi-disciplinary clinical team in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice and the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research. Demonstrated skills in building and maintaining strong relationships and open communication within the research and healthcare delivery team. Demonstrated ability to complete allocated research tasks in-line with research protocol, safety and ethical requirements within appropriate timeframes. Demonstrates ongoing learning and professional development to provide quality person centred care and health education to patients and others within the scope of practice required of this role. Demonstrates a very high standard of personal and professional behaviour and creates a culture that reinforces personal and professional standards. Ability to integrate theoretical knowledge and application of quality frameworks, evidence-based practice and research to practice environment. The Princess Alexandra Hospital is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
