Clinical Trials Manager, Maternal Fetal Medicine Position Number: 0065207Location: Western HealthRole type: Part time (0.8 FTE) or full time; Fixed term for 24 monthsFaculty: Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health SciencesDepartment/School: Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Newborn Health, Melbourne Medical SchoolSalary: UoM 8 - $119,742 - $129,607 p.a. plus 17% super (pro rata for part time) Your next career opportunity As Clinical Trials Manager at Western Health Maternal Fetal Medicine Research Unit, you'll oversee large international randomized trials funded by MRFF and NHMRC. You'll manage all aspects of trial execution, from ethics submissions to stakeholder engagement, ensuring research integrity and participant safety. This role offers you the chance to directly impact maternal and newborn health outcomes while working with a passionate team at the forefront of pregnancy research. Your responsibilities will include: Oversee Clinical Trial Management: Ensure trials adhere to GCP guidelines and ethical standards, managing site initiations, documentation, and stakeholder relationships. Manage Research Operations: Develop SOPs, oversee budgets and site payments, coordinate ordering of investigational product, and manage data collection and integrity across multiple sites. Drive Stakeholder Engagement: Organise investigator meetings, facilitate advisory groups, and manage communications to ensure smooth trial execution. Ensure Compliance and Reporting: Manage ethics submissions, amendments, and progress reports, maintaining high standards of research conduct. You may be a great fit if: You are an experienced clinical research professional with postgraduate qualifications in a health-related field, possessing strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of clinical trial management across multiple sites. You may also: Have postgraduate qualifications in science, allied health, medicine, nursing, or public health. Possess extensive experience in clinical project management and hospital research governance. Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of ICH GCP and NHMRC clinical trial policies. Have experience in database management, including proficiency with REDCap. Excel in written and verbal communication, with high-level problem-solving skills.
