As a Cloud Consultant , you will be familiar with distributed system architecture and will possess a strong foundation in infrastructure management systems and Public Cloud Architecture. In this role, you will be responsible for building and engineering the Cloud infrastructure including maintaining virtual servers, Cloud Infrastructure automation and monitoring services, supporting our Public Cloud solutions. Additionally, the Cloud Consultant will work in the deployment and configuration of software suites, both those developed by the business and by third parties, as well as providing monitoring and observability for alerts for our internal and customer environments. This role offers flexibility in location—you can be based in any of our offices across Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, or Melbourne. Responsibilities Implementation, monitoring, and day-to-day management of a highly available Cloud infrastructure. Public Cloud architecture and engineering responsibilities. Configure infrastructure and applications for high performance and highly available operations to meet business needs. Selection of IT solutions in terms of the needs of individual departments of the company. Coordination of IT projects and investments. Development of existing software. Analyze logs, network load parameters, track information about errors in the software used, and install provided patches. Network service management: Domain Name System (DNS), Windows Internet Name System (WINS), and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). Web, FTP, Email Management. Network SecurityAssigning access rights to network components (creating domains, workgroups, access to remote files, printers, etc.) Experience with Firewalls (WAF) Use of identification and authentication of workstations and users Selection of cryptographic methods that guarantee the resilience of transmitted or stored messages Optimize network performance. IP address assignment, Sunet Masks, gateway definition. Defining Routings. Deciding on Network Protocols. Shaping the policy of naming network elements. Supplier and Service contact. Undergoes ongoing training to update appropriate Public Cloud skills and knowledge. Translates technical requirements into business requirements. Education / Qualifications Strong Application and Networking experience. Previous experience working in Oracle Cloud environments. Experience of deployment, configuring and monitoring virtual servers. Knowledge of Microsoft server infrastructure; Microsoft Windows Server: 2016, 2019, 2022, including Active Directory/DNS and Group Policy. Experience with Server infrastructure, Platform Sizing, and tuning running on Oracle Cloud. Experience with the following infrastructure: Compute, Networking, Storage. Strong technical background in cloud implementation. Experience with application pipelines in the CI/CD process. Experience with IT Automation/configuration Tools such as Terraform, puppet, and PowerShell. Experience with Infrastructure-Based Processes: Monitoring, Capacity Planning, Facilities Management, Performance Tuning, Asset Management, Disaster Recovery, Data Center support. Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources. Oracle Cloud certifications preferred, but not essential. Candidates to provide tangible evidence in these areas from past endeavors.
