Job Description

Who we are looking for Charles River Development is looking for an experienced Cloud Data Platform Engineer who will focus on designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure required for efficient data processing and analysis. They work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand the organization's data needs and design scalable and reliable data platforms. Data Infrastructure Engineers are responsible for tasks such as data ingestion, storage, transformation, and optimization. They ensure the availability, integrity, and security of data while optimizing performance and scalability. They also collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data governance policies and data quality standards. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management, and hedge funds. Together we have created the first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019. What you will be responsible for As a Cloud Data Platform Engineer, you will: Design and set up highly available platform components on Azure and Snowflake Implement and manage the data platforms and integration in Azure Design and manage replication and transformation technologies Develop scripts, workflows, and policies to automate security and compliance efforts Infrastructure automation through Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, Logic Apps, ADO, etc. Collaborate across functions to develop reference architectures and standards Configure and manage the CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps according to best practices Balance pragmatism with vision; continually assessing the security posture of cloud applications and deliver improvements to the team’s tools, processes, and codebase Contribute documentation & collaboration site content to drive knowledge sharing Ensure that new cloud solutions properly implement security controls as standards dictate What we value Applied expertise in designing/implementing secure platforms for applications and data Thorough understanding of both Windows and Linux-based infrastructure A passion for learning about emerging technologies and sharing knowledge Experience documenting technology standards, operational procedures, and requirements Education & Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field required, Master’s preferred Hands-on experience managing Snowflake environments Hands-on experience administering replication tools like Qlik, Fivetran, etc. Hands-on experience with ETL tools like TalenD Hands-on experience with reporting and semantic layer tools Five years of cloud deployment experience, preferred with Azure experience Demonstrated cloud deployment experiences using standard CI/CD pipeline Working experience with highly segmented networks in public and private clouds. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies in Azure or any other cloud platform Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Additional requirements Work experience in multiple public clouds preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
