Reporting directly to the HIS Manager, you will be responsible for the management of our clinical coding team to ensure we meet end of month targets and continue to work towards a code right first time philosophy. Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Manage a high-performing team that delivers quantity and quality results Lead and support efficient workflows Strengthen and maintain relationships between HIS, CDI, VMOs and site-based leaders in the pursuit of coding and documentation integrity Guide, train and mentor Clinical Coders Accurate and timely coding of separations using ICD-10-AM, ACHI and the Australian Coding Standards as well as relevant state and national advice Liaise with relevant staff to obtain additional information required to perform accurate coding Be able to manage and prioritise own work Actively participate in education, training and quality activities. Critical to this role is a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and efficient time management skills.
