To support this exciting and impactful initiative, we are seeking Data and Configuration Management Specialists to work onsite in Canberra and contribute to the uplift of performance data practices, tools, and processes. What You’ll Do As a Data and Configuration Management Specialist , you’ll play a key role in: Data Governance and Assurance Supporting the DPT in the management, modelling, and assurance of enterprise performance data, ensuring all activities align with the government’s established governance frameworks. Developing and maintaining governance artefacts, templates, and tools to provide guidance to stakeholders on performance measurement and data management practices. Configuration Management and Tools Ensuring tools and platforms are effectively configured to meet operational and enterprise-level performance measurement needs. Providing support to stakeholders in understanding and using tools for gathering, analyzing, and reporting performance data. Recommending configuration adjustments and enhancements to improve system usability and performance outcomes. Data Modelling and Analysis Assisting in the modelling, gathering, and analysis of performance measurement data, ensuring the data is accurate, accessible, and actionable. Supporting Accountable Officers in defining and implementing performance data measurement strategies to align with organizational goals. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement Working closely with Accountable Officers, senior leadership, and other stakeholders to embed sustainable practices in data management and configuration processes. Providing documentation, tools, and guidance to enable Accountable Officers to maintain and sustain best practices after the contract concludes. About You To thrive in this role, you will need: Key Skills and Expertise A strong background in data governance , configuration management , or enterprise system management . Experience working with performance data within large-scale or government environments, with the ability to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Technical expertise in configuring and managing tools and platforms used for data analysis , reporting , and governance frameworks . Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high-quality templates , artefacts , and toolkits that enable stakeholders to effectively manage data and processes. Soft Skills and Collaboration Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and adapt to evolving project requirements. A detail-oriented mindset, with a strong focus on quality assurance , problem-solving , and continuous improvement . Proven ability to deliver sustainable and practical solutions that can be seamlessly managed by in-house teams post-project. Preferred Experience Prior experience in Defence projects , Federal Government work, or highly regulated environments will be highly regarded. Familiarity with tools and processes used in enterprise performance reporting. Eligibility Requirements Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) or higher is mandatory. You must already hold this clearance or be eligible to obtain it. This role requires onsite work at Defence premises in Canberra, ACT. Please note: the work environment is Zone 3 rated , and Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs) are not permitted onsite. Full-time availability is required for the entire contract duration, from 24 February 2025 to 23 May 2025 .
