An established, tier-1 building materials manufacturer is seeking a dynamic Sales & Operations Leader to join its team. This critical role will oversee two key manufacturing facilities, supporting a comprehensive network of distribution branches across Victoria and Tasmania.As part of the senior leadership team, you will collaborate closely with executives to develop and implement strategies that drive sales, optimise operational performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will also play a pivotal role in enhancing safety standards and streamlining processes across both sites.This is a career-defining opportunity within a growth-focused organisation, with both branches primed for expansion.Role: Develop and execute a robust sales pipeline , driving business growth and capitalising on opportunities with key clients. Lead and foster a culture of safety and operational excellence , ensuring best practices are implemented across both branches. Oversee P&L management for two branches, optimising financial performance and ensuring profitability. Strategically manage costs and address deficiencies through effective decision-making and resource allocation. Cultivate and sustain strong customer relationships , offering expert advice on construction and product solutions to enhance client satisfaction. Ensure exceptional branch services and maintain a high standard of customer excellence across all operations. Collaborate with Branch Managers , providing guidance and support to help their teams meet and exceed KPIs. Background: Proven experience managing a heavy industrial manufacturing branch or overseeing multi-site operations within a Just-In-Time and/or Made-to-Order environment . In-depth expertise in operational excellence , with a comprehensive understanding of safety principles and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety across all operations. Customer-centric approach , with a track record of leading and supporting sales teams to achieve business objectives. Strong P&L management skills , paired with exceptional negotiation and communication abilities to drive business outcomes. Demonstrated experience in implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and operational strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall business performance.
