We are seeking to expand our Sales team with the addition of a Commercial Business Development Manager. This full time opportunity is office-based in Bayswater, reporting to the State Sales Manager. About The Role We are seeking a highly successful Commercial BDM to service the Perth metro area and take the reins of our commercial sector, sourcing new business across the industrial, mining, transport, agriculture and farming sectors. Reporting to the State Sales Manager, this full-time position will work closely with our sales team, turning data-driven insights into impactful strategies, crafting compelling tenders, and ensuring seamless customer experiences through the commercial lifecycle. Oil and lubricant knowledge and experience is essential and key to the success of this position. The ideal candidate will be a true “hunter” and will be required to successfully: Seek and convert new commercial business prospects. Work with key stakeholders to negotiate and manage customer contracts, ensuring sound legal and commercial outcomes and smooth implementation. Coach, mentor and boost local commercial knowledge across existing field sales team. Leverage data to drive growth and optimise commercial opportunities. Create strategic, high-quality proposals that align with customer needs and company objectives. Inspire, motivate and mentor the collective sales team to successfully hand over the account management of stabilised new business accounts. Oversee growth and retention of commercial customers. Complete and submit monthly reports. Work with key internal departments to ensure desirable service levels are achieved. This role will require overnight travel and attendance at trade shows and weekend events. About You If you have a minimum of 10 years sales experience in a commercial role, proven success with acquiring new business, previous business development skills in the automotive or oil and lubricant industry, the ability to sustain solid customer relationships and can demonstrate your ability to grow sales and meet or exceed KPIs, along with customer service excellence, then we would like to hear from you. You will be a strategic thinker with extensive negotiation skills and a track record of successfully negotiating complex commercial arrangements. A data-savvy individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will demonstrate highly developed problem solving skills and will display professional accountability and resilience.
