Fonterra Oceania is a fully integrated, consumer and food service business, collecting milk from farmers in both Australia and New Zealand and turning it into the dairy foods you know and love in our supermarkets. We partner with food services businesses across Australia and New Zealand, putting dairy products into chefs' hands. Some of the brands you’ll know in Australia include Perfect Italiano, Mainland, Western Star, and Bega. About the opportunity This Commercial Director position for our trans-Tasman business is essentially a Divisional CFO role, and a key member of the Oceania Leadership Team (OLT). This prominent position comes about through the promotion of our incumbent Commercial Director - Oceania to Managing Director – Oceania and as such, we are now seeking a suitably qualified finance expert to become their trusted advisor and business partner. The aim of this role is to provide strategic financial leadership that will position the business for long term success. The Commercial Director plays a crucial role in current divestment activities and will ensure a smooth transition process from current to future state. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Commercial Leadership Shape and execute strategy, presenting commercial insights in a meaningful way. Lead the finance function with confidence and ensure strong financial performance across Australia and New Zealand. Business Planning & Execution Oversee planning, forecasting, and budgeting to align with business objectives. Use data-driven insights to influence executive decisions and drive financial stability during transformation. Ensure compliance, implement best financial practices and optimise operational efficiencies. Navigate complex financial landscapes to enhance cash flow and business performance. Lead and develop high-performing teams across key business functions. Foster collaboration, innovation, and growth while inspiring and developing teams through change.
