Founded by product designers, we are a multi-dimensional studio that thinks deeply about purpose and form. The Role We’re seeking a dynamic Commercial Manager to join our team part time . This role involves collaborating closely with a small team to drive growth across departments and with external partners and suppliers. The successful candidate will lead our commercial strategy and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business. Responsibilities Oversight of financial health of the business and cashflow Reporting to the senior management on performance of commercial activities Assisting in setting financial targets and budget development Monitor costs across the business and identify opportunities to improve profitability Manage financial aspects of major projects Identify and act on business opportunities Accounts Working with external bookkeepers ensuring accurate financials and cashflow Ensure timely payment of ATO, superannuation, and insurance liabilities Assist external accountants with annual tax returns Manage accounts receivable, payment chasing, and credits Operations Streamline operational processes to enhance efficiency and performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business activity with strategic goals Conduct market research to inform pricing strategies and competitive positioning and implement new pricing across software platforms Review reports and provide feedback to Production Manager on stock on-hand, in process and demand planning Business & Strategy Monitor costs and propose strategies to improve profitability Developing, planning and implementing strategies that align with business goals to promote growth Research and secure government grants or assistance where applicable Negotiate and finalise contracts Assessing viability of international business development Skills and Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role Strong understanding of Xero, Airwallex, Unleashed and Shopify International experience would be an advantage Highly organised, sales-driven, analytical, and detail-oriented Supportive of an internal culture aligned with our values Able to self-manage, show initiative, and meet deadlines effectively Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances Clear and effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders This position is part time (3 days a week) and currently based in Surry Hills. Remote working can be considered for 1 day each week.
