The Project The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia, has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide. The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction, and complex M&E installations. The Role The Traffic Communications Lead for the T2D Alliance on the Torrens to Darlington project involves developing and implementing comprehensive Traffic Communications Plans. These plans aim to provide reliable and up-to-date information about upcoming traffic events. The Traffic Communications Lead will collaborate with the traffic team and wider communications and community relations team to support engagement with key internal and external stakeholders involved in the T2D project, including the construction team and councils. Responsibilities The Traffic Communications Lead is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Traffic Communications Plan for the T2D project, including plans for major traffic impact activities. Work with the traffic team to support engagement with key stakeholders involved in the project, including the construction team, councils, and TMLG. Collaborate with the community engagement team to gather information and insights for effective traffic communication strategies related to key traffic activities. Develop Traffic Communications Action Plans for each significant traffic diversion event. Tailor information and advice based on the level of impact and develop communications strategies to engage the wider community and stakeholders utilizing all available media. Coordinate updates with navigation apps and disseminate information via email, SMS notifications, and public announcements. Work closely with the project’s digital team to ensure that the project website effectively communicates real-time traffic updates. Assist in developing strategies to achieve the best possible results with project KRA and KPI’s. Support regular stakeholder and community meetings as required, including Community Reference Groups. Participate and assist with activities undertaken by the wider Communications team as appropriate. About You Appropriate qualifications in communications, journalism, or equivalent experience in public relations, marketing, or a related discipline will be highly regarded. Experience working within the infrastructure industry will be highly regarded. An understanding of developing and implementing comprehensive traffic communication plans will be highly regarded. Self-motivated, with well-developed organisational and stakeholder management skills. Flexible, able to work under pressure and to deadlines. Superior written and verbal communication skills.
