About this Community Based Role: In partnership with community, you will develop and implement community capacity building projects that encourage First Nations Australians with disability to enjoy equitable quality of life. Identify culturally appropriate, mainstream services for people living with disability. Promote diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness. Provide support and linkages to community organisations for those not eligible for the NDIS. Collaborate with regional stakeholders to enhance access and inclusion. About You: Must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Must be willing to undertake a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History check. Proven experience in community development Understanding of community capacity building Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Great people skills, excellent written communication, and time management Lived experience or experience caring for someone with a disability (not essential, but a good bonus) Holder of a current driver's license, or probationary license, with access to reliable transport We’re looking for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in their community and committed to supporting inclusivity for First Nations People with disability.
