Community Engagement Worker - Social Media Youth Participation 2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants $37.52 - $40.97 per hour + Super + Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550 Company Description Part Time ongoing position Based in Port Macquarie Job Description headspace is a federally funded, innovative, early intervention program that aims to build the health and well-being of young people (12-25 years). headspace is especially aimed at those who are at risk of mental health issues. In this dynamic role, you will oversee social media accounts, developing strategies and creating engaging content on clinical and relevant topics for a youth audience. You will lead and maintain the headspace Youth Reference Group (YRG), manage recruitment, onboarding, and coordinate meetings. Additionally, you’ll plan and implement youth-led events, deliver mental health literacy education, and support community engagement initiatives in the Port Macquarie-Hastings region. Collaboration with the Community Engagement Coordinator and management team will be key, along with staying updated on youth sector trends and contributing to program development. This role is part time at 37.5 hours per fortnight. Key deliverables include: Oversee social media accounts by developing and implementing strategies for various online platforms, creating engaging and youth-friendly content tailored to clinical and relevant topics, and actively monitoring and interacting with the online audience. Lead and maintain the headspace Youth Reference Group (YRG), including recruiting members, onboarding youth volunteers, and coordination of meetings. Develop, plan, and implement youth-led events and projects to meet community needs. Assist in the delivery of community-based help-seeking and mental health literacy education sessions within education settings and community groups in the Port Macquarie-Hastings region. Assist in the organisation and delivery of relevant community events and activities including headspace National Campaign activations, and important mental health awareness days/weeks. Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of the headspace Community Awareness and Engagement Plan in conjunction with the Community Engagement Coordinator and centre management team. Qualifications Mandatory qualifications include: Minimum Diploma level qualification in Social Work, Marketing, or other related fields. Completion of a Criminal History Check.
