Queensland Corrective Services (Organisation site ( ))Far North Region; Community Corrections; Community Corrections & Specialist Operations; Aurukun The Community Reintegration Officer position is based at Aurukun and reports to the Weipa District Manager. The role of this position is to implement and coordinate a range of group and individual activities to support reintegration back into community; address the causes of adult and young people’s offending; and responding to their support needs with an overarching goal of reducing the over-representation of Indigenous people in contact with the adult and youth justice system. Job details Position status: Fixed Term Temporary Position type: Full-time Occupational group: Community Care Classification: AO5 Workplace Location: Far North Qld Job ad reference: QLD/610448/24 Closing date: 13-Jan-2025 Yearly salary: $101174 - $109783 Fortnightly salary: $3878.00 - $4208.00 Job duration: up to 30 June 2025 with possible extension Mandatory Qualifications, Conditions and Requirements: As this position will involve work with young people, possession of a current and valid Blue Card is a mandatory requirement. As this position will require travel and work across various locations, possession of a drivers licence, minimum C class Australian licence is a mandatory requirement. This is a specified position. Applicants are required to nominate an Aboriginal person or Torres Strait Islander person who is recognised and accepted within the community as a referee to support their ability to meet the key responsibilities. The essential requirements for this role are: Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management, staff and internal and external stakeholders at all levels, to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources and other relevant issues. Able to work self-sufficiently and to cope with the pace, complexity and multitasking required in the operating environment. Able to demonstrate experience working within a legislative framework that underpins a core service delivery area. Ability to build and manage ongoing working relationships with a range of stakeholders. Interpersonal skills for negotiating with key stakeholders, who often have competing interests, on sensitive and complex issues. Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
