Community Social Volunteer (Wrestling TV/Puzzles), HammondCare at Home, Scone HammondCare is an independent Christian charity specialising in dementia care, palliative care, and rehabilitation, specialist mental health for older people and other health and aged services. Job Description Spread Joy by joining our Volunteer Team! The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in Scone. We are looking for a friendly person who would love to brighten the day of an older lady in Scone who is in need of some company for weekly or fortnightly social support. Our client enjoys doing puzzles, playing solitaire on her iPad, and watching wrestling shows. Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the clients you are matched with. Requirements 18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare. We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one-hour visit between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Sunday.
