Competency and Business Improvement Analyst Division Name: People and Organisational Development Position No: 37223 Closing Date: 2025-03-07 5:00 PM Location: East Perth Job Type: Fixed Term - Full Time About the role The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is seeking a detail-oriented Competency and Business Improvement Analyst to support the development, review, and implementation of technical competency frameworks, including PTA Standards. As part of the Competency Team, this role involves researching and analysing job roles, gathering and reviewing data, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure competency frameworks align with operational needs. Additionally, the role provides advice on human resources and industrial relations matters, such as job design and award impacts, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. Beyond framework development, this position plays a key role in driving business improvements and ensuring strong governance practices. The Competency and Business Improvement Analyst will identify and implement process enhancements, conduct audits of competency records, and maintain accurate and secure documentation. With a strong focus on stakeholder collaboration, the role will engage with key internal teams to monitor progress, address implementation challenges, and contribute to the continuous improvement of competency processes and workflows. About You! To excel in this role, you will possess the following core competencies: Extensive experience in human resources, workforce development, and/or learning and development, with a strong understanding of HR management practices, policies, and public sector legislation. Knowledge of RTO standards, the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), Training Accreditation Council (TAC), and VET compliance requirements. Experience in business process improvement, including analysing and enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and quality in business operations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate, build relationships, influence stakeholders, and prepare high-quality written documentation. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research, evaluate information, and develop practical solutions. Effective planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and drive tasks to completion.
