Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $82,000.00/yr Managing Director at Briarwood Construction Job Summary: The Superintendent is responsible for coordinating all on-site activities of construction projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications. Key responsibilities include scheduling subcontractors, managing job site safety, performing inspections, and maintaining quality control. Current work sites are located in Northern Virginia (Manassas, Ashburn, Centreville, Lorton, and Sterling). Key Responsibilities: Oversee subcontractor, consultant, and vendor schedules to ensure timely project completion. Ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and safety standards. Manage quality control, resolve conflicts, and track job site progress. Maintain daily logs, conduct site inspections, and address safety or quality issues. Conduct weekly meetings with subcontractors and provide corrective notices when necessary. Monitor job site cleanliness and assist in resolving any scope discrepancies. Perform punch list tasks and support coordination with marketing and project team. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in construction management with projects ranging from $250,000 to $5 million. Strong knowledge of construction documents, plans, and specifications. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook). Ability to lead, manage, and communicate effectively with subcontractors, clients, and team members. Primarily English, verbal Spanish preferred. Experience in multifamily rehabilitation is preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., and work both indoors and outdoors at a construction site. Capable of handling physically demanding tasks including climbing, balancing, and using hands for various duties. Exposure to various weather conditions, moving parts, and potential construction hazards. Additional Requirements: Must be able to travel to multiple job sites daily.
