Consultant Cardiology CC Medical location Darwin NT. Salary package - $337,429. Desirable Sub-Specialty: Training in Advanced Cardiac Imaging (including echo, CT-coronary angiography or Cardiac MRI) or Heart Failure. Dual-Training in, experience working in or an interest in, General Internal Medicine. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Provide strong leadership and manage all aspects of the day-to-day activities within Cardiology and the Department of Medicine, focusing on patient safety and quality of services. Provide high quality safe inpatient, outpatient and outreach clinical services in Internal Medicine. Initiate and partake in quality management activities, performance appraisal, and personal and Departmental continuing education programs. Ensure adequate supervision of and participation in teaching programs for junior medical staff, including advanced trainees and medical students. Undertake Clinical Audit activities and research as appropriate. Participate in relevant Hospital Committees and other administrative duties as required. Provide advice to the Director of Medical and Clinical Services on matters relating to Internal Medicine. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures. Minimum Requirements: Appropriate specialist qualifications and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or equivalent. Interest in Indigenous health and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment. Good verbal and written skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Ability to assume administrative and supervisory responsibilities. Eligible for specialist medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
