Job Number: 797565 Location: Hybrid: Work from any Capital City in Australia Department: People & Culture Employment Type: Permanent Full time Opening at: Jan 6 2025 at 06:00 AEDT Closing at: Jan 15 2025 at 23:55 AEDT Opportunity to become part of NAB’s Employee Relations Team as a Consultant. This role will lead formal investigations into conduct matters, namely bullying, harassment, and discrimination investigations to ensure NAB remains safe. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic, pragmatic advice and support to business leaders on a wide range of complex employee relations and individual employment matters including but not limited to misconduct, grievances/disputes, whistleblowing matters, organisational change, and underperformance. Conduct formal investigations into employee conduct, including workplace bullying, harassment, and discrimination matters. Interpret and advise on the NAB Enterprise Agreement, the NAB Award, applicable State & Federal legislation, and workplace policies. Respond to employment-related claims, including preparing responses to unfair dismissal, general protections, stop bullying and discrimination matters and representing the organisation at conciliations. Support the development of people leader capability including conducting training and preparing knowledge articles and guidance on key employee relations issues. Provide support on internal projects requiring specialist employee relations input. Provide leadership and support of HR programs, projects, and activities, including identifying and reporting on trends and issues of significance. What You’ll Bring Strong collaboration across diverse stakeholders promoting a culture of accountability and transparency. Adept at building and maintaining strong working relationships. Strong ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, leveraging document management systems to uphold integrity and security. Ability to work autonomously, be self-motivated and self-managed, whilst knowing when to escalate risks and issues. Escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified in line with established frameworks and guidelines. Relevant qualifications, preferably in employee/workplace relations/human resources and/or employment law. Proven ER/legal experience within a large corporate environment, preferably in the finance sector or professional services.
