Create an impact as a Consultant, Events YOUR ROLE Are you ready to create unforgettable experiences and bring IAG’s vision to life? We’re looking for a dynamic Events Consultant to help bring IAG’s strategy, vision, and purpose to life through engaging events. You’ll be at the heart of delivering impactful internal and external events that shape our people’s experience. What You’ll Do: Assist with planning and executing high-profile events, from corporate milestones to key "Days of Significance" like World Mental Health Day and RU OK Day. Manage logistics, registrations, digital content, and event invitations to ensure seamless event delivery. Collaborate with the Events Lead to coordinate campaigns, working across internal teams and external vendors. Provide administrative support for large-scale projects and events. Handle event invoicing, payments, and inbox communication. Some domestic travel may be required. This is a full-time role on a twelve month secondment basis. Preferred location is Sydney (Gadigal country). ABOUT YOU You are passionate about a career in Event Management. Some previous experience and knowledge in a similar role. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required to deliver outstanding events, within fixed timelines and to agreed budgets. Enthusiastic, highly organised, with superior attention to detail and forward planning. Practical and action-oriented approach with the ability to respond quickly to changing briefs and circumstances. Ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups. Planning work analysis and problem-solving – high. Persuasive/influencing and ability to work effectively in teams. Knowledge of event production and technical aspects. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information gained in carrying out the role. At least 1 to 2 years experience in corporate event management for a large ASX or similar listed entity. EventsAIR software proficiency is highly desirable. Prior experience using Microsoft Teams for virtual events. Good knowledge of local event suppliers and venues.
