Queensland Rail’s Procurement and Contracts team is a strategic function that drives value, reduces risk, and ensures operational efficiency in support of Queensland Rail’s complex network of Travel, Tourism and freight services. The ICT Procurement team has a valuable opportunity for a Contract Adviser (AS5) with strong experience in contract management and vendor relations. This role will serve as a valued business partner and play a pivotal role in managing contracts and vendor relationships, optimizing supplier performance to achieve commercial outcomes, and ensuring compliance with legislation and policy requirements. Key responsibilities include: Manage a portfolio of major vendor contracts to achieve strategic and commercial outcomes. Conduct contract performance reviews to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance. Regularly review contract terms, pricing, and key performance indicators to drive value. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to enhance partnerships. Maintain accurate contract data and information within the contract management system. Monitor and report on contract performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Participate in benchmarking processes and market analysis to enhance supplier performance. What We’re Looking For: Experienced with commercial contract negotiations, legislation, and other contractual requirements within a strategic procurement model. Exceptional stakeholder management with the ability to navigate complex conversations with stakeholders and suppliers, while maintaining productive business relationships and partnerships. Skilled in developing strategic relationship management frameworks and methodologies. An analytical mind to analyse and translate data into meaningful reports. Remuneration & Employment Type This is a permanent, fulltime position, based in Brisbane CBD with a starting base salary of $113,768 plus 12.75% superannuation and hybrid work options to support the balance between work and personal commitments.
