And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.The Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team delivers and services the control systems which monitor and ensure the health of our data centers. APAC CDS' mission is to safely provide our customers with the unmatched reliability, security, and performance that AWS is known for. APAC CDS covers six disciplines of deployments, projects, service, colo, on-call support, and management.As Amazonians, we work in a competitive environment. Change is the only constant, and applies to our customers, our roles, our team organization, our tools, and our mechanisms.To be successful in this team, you will also have: Ability to thrive at the pace and scale of Amazon Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities Ability and willingness to collaborate with peers around the globe, which may involve some participation in meetings at odd hours Ability and willingness to travel domestically or globally as and when needed Key job responsibilities Deployment of data center controls, on time, with effective management of vendors to ensure minimal defects at the point of Power and Facilities Hand-Off (PFHO) Delivery of critical projects to upgrade data center automation Service and support provided to partner teams, providing diagnosis and resolution of Loss of Visibility (LOV), Loss of Resilience (LOR), Large Scale Event (LSE), Critical Scale Event (CSE), and other operations impacting events Resolution of tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Delivery of further initiatives to improve the efficiency of our data centers or our operations procedures Delivery of manager responsibilities, such as performance reviews and promotions Authorship of and contribution to key business reporting documents, such as Monthly Business Reviews BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Control theory: PID, loop tuning, feedback theory Control system integration: experience building unified automated control system for enterprise level clients, consolidating equipment and subsystems; hardware, software, networking products from multiple vendors Engineering documentation: ability to understand electrical diagrams, control diagrams, control networks schematics, control panel Bill of Materials (BOM), control panel schematics Project management: scope, schedule, cost, stakeholder expectations, vendor/sub-contractors, multiple concurrent deliverables Engineering management: Experience in supervising engineers, setting expectations, providing feedback, assessing performance Administration: Overseeing finances of an organization or team, planning team member or resource availability PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Critical environments experience in any of the following: data centers, defense, pharmaceutical, hospitals, research laboratories, or oil and gas B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline Project Management certification IDE statement: Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
