Consolidated Lay Group Pty Ltd ATF Consolidated Lay Trust (trading as Waterfront Bistro-Darwin Sailing Club and the Rusty Putter Bistro) is seeking experienced hospitality staff to join our team. COOK – $55,000-65,000 per annum, salary commensurate with responsibilities and experience As a Cook, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that meet our exacting standards. You will work closely with our Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure that each plate leaving the kitchen is a masterpiece. Your creativity, attention to detail, and dedication to culinary perfection will help us maintain our reputation as one of the best dining establishments in the area. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, following established recipes and presentation guidelines. Ensure that all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets food safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, including proper storage and labeling of ingredients. Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving supplies. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, and personal hygiene practices. Assist with training new kitchen staff and provide guidance and support as needed. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, including effective communication and teamwork. WAITER (SUPERVISOR) - $55,000-65,000 per annum, salary commensurate with responsibilities and experience As a waiter supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring customers are served in a professional and timely manner. The role is responsible for supervising one or more other food wait staff at any one time and for training wait staff at a lower level. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Report to manager on duty or equivalent senior management or venue owner, assist in rostering of staff. Supervise and train food wait staff. Coordinate and manage stock take. Set and arrange tables. Take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and assist lower-level attendants. Responsible for the front of house dining room or catering function. Take reservations, greet, seat guests, and present them with menus and beverage lists. Assist manager on duty with end of shifts reconciliation of transactions. Receipt and dispense of all monies. Clear tables and return dishes and cutlery to kitchen. RESTAURANT MANAGER - $58,000-68,000 per annum, salary commensurate with responsibilities and experience As a restaurant manager, you are responsible for the entire business performance. You will oversee all aspects of our restaurant's operations, including staff management, customer service, financial performance, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies. Ensure that all guests have a positive dining experience, addressing any issues or concerns promptly. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones. BARISTA – $55,000-$65,000 per annum, salary commensurate with responsibilities and experience As a Barista, your main responsibility is mixing and serving hot beverages for guests and servers. Baristas also resolve conflicts and perform some supervisory duties. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Use sales techniques to increase revenues. Prepare beverages for guests and servers. Control inventory for counter supplies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar/counter. Stock beverage supplies. Improve establishment menu and drink recipes. Prepare drink garnishes. GENERAL CLERK - $55,000-65,000 per annum, salary commensurate with responsibilities and experience General clerks perform a wide range of administrative duties to ensure the efficient operation of an office or department. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Recording, preparing, sorting, classifying and filing information. Sorting, opening and sending mail. Photocopying and faxing documents. Preparing reports of a routine nature. Recording issue of equipment to staff. Receiving letters and telephone messages. Transcribing information onto computers, proofreading and correcting copy. Providing customers with information about services. Applicants must be experienced and able to work in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment with efficiency.
