Permanent Full Time Location: Morwell Salary: $105,380.60 to $117,233.48 plus 11.5% superannuation Department: Emergency Management Do you want to make an IMPACT? We have an exciting opportunity to join Latrobe City Council as the Coordinator Emergency Management.The Role The Emergency Management team works with our community to strengthen their resilience in preparing for and recovering from emergency events. The team also works to promote community awareness of, and compliance with, the Emergency Management Act, Country Fire Authority Act, Local Laws, and other relevant regulations and Acts, which contribute to the protection of Latrobe City Council and our community in relation to fire and other emergencies.About You As the Coordinator Emergency Management, you will be a community-focused leader, responsible for the coordination of Latrobe City Council's Emergency Management responsibilities in partnership with the wider Emergency Management team, community safety organisations, and the broader community.You will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of policies and procedures relevant to Emergency Management.You'll need: Demonstrated experience in coordinating emergency relief, response, and recovery activities in a collaborative way with community and stakeholders. Demonstrable experience of well-developed interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective professional relationships both internal and external to Council. A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or significant and diverse experience in both Emergency Management and Recovery operational and management areas. Municipal Emergency Management Officer and Municipal Recovery Manager accreditation or a willingness to work towards this. Relevant experience in Emergency Management. AIMS qualifications would be looked on as favourable. Relevant computer skills. Current Victorian driver’s licence. Relevant municipal or related equivalent experience.
