About The Role Ongoing Full Time Band 8 - $119,943 plus 11.5% superannuation Hybrid and flexible working arrangements available Do you have a talent for bringing complex projects to life and take pride in delivering infrastructure projects that will strengthen our community? This role will see you coordinate our Projects team to deliver Council's capital works and community infrastructure projects, ensuring all of the project are met within timelines and budget. Key Responsibilities Include Coordinate the implementation of assigned capital works and community infrastructure projects including all phases from concept design to handover. Preparation of project budget estimates and reports. Lead, motivate and guide direct reports in your team. Assist with the ongoing development of Council's 10-year capital works program. Provide progress reports to management as required. Coordinate and instruct contractors and staff to achieve outcomes. Make independent professional judgement in relation to infrastructure matters. Provide engineering advice and expertise to the organisation. Deliver high level customer service to all stakeholders. About You To be successful, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, construction, project management or similar. Extensive experience in delivering construction projects in Local Government or similar. Contract/Project management experience. Experience in leading and motivating teams to create a culture of accountability, customer centricity and excellence. Excellent communication, negotiation and report writing skills. Understanding the design of urban and rural civil engineering infrastructure. High level problem solving, policy development, research and decision-making skills. WHY YOU'LL LOVE WORKING WITH US!
