Full time Part time applications will be considered $124K - $139K per annum (dependent on experience) + superannuation About the role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a passion for public health. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to make a tangible difference in public health initiatives, working collaboratively with various stakeholders to drive positive change. This role will develop, build and execute effective and sustainable programs that influence community behaviour and attitudes in relation to public health. Other responsibilities include: Effectively manage the planning and provision of Public Health services within approved municipal health, business plans and program budgets. Manage and ensure the satisfactory implementation of the provisions of the relevant Acts and Regulations which ensures timely and acceptable outcomes. Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of policies, programs and services provided and where necessary, make recommendations for improvements and/or delivery of new public health services. About you You will have experience in health promotion, project management, and a deep understanding of local public health needs. With strong leadership abilities and communication skills, you will effectively advocate for health priorities and engage with the community to build trust and support for public health initiatives. The following is also required: Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health or related field, with extensive and diverse experience and eligible for membership of Environmental Health Professionals Australia. Experience in managing budgets with regular review and controls. High level of technical knowledge for Public Health service provision. High level of communication and negotiation skills which facilitate effective interaction at all levels, often on sensitive community matters. Not meeting all the requirements for this role?
