LET’S EXPLORE THE JOB Lake Mac is looking for an innovative, professional and motivated Coordinator Records Services to be part of a department that is passionate about providing exceptional customer service to our internal customers.The Coordinator Records Services leads the Records Services Team and is responsible for Council’s records governance arrangements, including compliance with relevant legislative obligations. The role provides expert advice and leadership to the organisation in all areas of records services policy and procedure and oversees the effective and efficient provision of records related services across Council. This exciting role will: Lead, coach and develop Records Services staff in order to deliver departmental and organisational objectives and goals; Develop and review Council policies, procedures and strategic plans relating to records management; Provide expert advice and guidance to internal customers to achieve Council’s compliance with records management and privacy, including the management of personal identifiable information, legislative obligations; Manage the delivery of records services within Council including capture, registration, distribution, archiving and disposal of both physical and electronic records; Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the provision of quality records management services and provide high level customer service; Manage the budget for Records Services including financial responsibility for budget development, review, monitoring and control; Lead records management related projects and collaborate with other internal project teams to achieve organisational objectives. LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU Degree qualifications, or equivalent experience and qualifications, in a relevant discipline such as Records/Information Management; Experience and skills in leading, managing, mentoring and coaching a team; Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to manage conflict and liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders; Extensive knowledge of records services processes, including relevant legislation and best practice guidelines; Demonstrated operational experience including the ability to manage multiple resources including budgetary and contractor responsibilities; Experience in the management and implementation of change; Knowledge of local government retention authorities (GA39 & GA45) would be highly advantageous. LET’S REVEAL THE PERKSThis position provides: Competitive salary from $111,032 to $129,037 per year Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range; Industry-leading 12 per cent superannuation; Enterprise Agreement pay increases apply; 35-hour working week with flexible working conditions; Long service leave after 5 years; Education assistance; Training and development opportunities; Corporate fitness program from as little as $8 per week.
