Queensland Rail is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our Signalling Engineering team in the role of Design Records Configuration Coordinator. Your opportunity: This role is pivotal in managing engineering records and documentation, ensuring seamless coordination between internal and external teams, and maintaining high standards for document control and configuration management. You will play a key role in supporting the success of this major infrastructure project through efficient records management and process improvement. Fixed term Queensland Rail employment contract to 30 June 2026. Brisbane CBD office location – Hybrid working available. Join our small and extremely valuable Signalling Support Services team. A typical day may include a mix of: Manage the lifecycle of Signal Engineering asset records, including issuing, updates, and as-built acceptance. Oversee document repositories and ensure compliance with document management standards. Coordinate between internal and external project teams to align with design management plans. Represent Queensland Rail in records management meetings and workshops. Review returned records for accuracy and project alignment. Collaborate with stakeholders to monitor project schedules and resolve integration issues. Improve processes for managing signalling asset records and related systems. What you will bring: Strong experience in document control and engineering records management (Electrical Engineering focus is a plus). Proven track record in project coordination, ideally in a similar large operational business environment. A process-oriented mindset with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. A proactive problem-solver who can work autonomously while supporting a larger project team. Prior experience in the rail industry is advantageous, though not essential. Your key strengths will also align to: Managing stakeholder expectations while ensuring timely delivery of engineering records in line with project milestones. Understanding of complex project schedules and how various elements integrate across different teams and phases of the projects. Navigating multiple systems, including ProjectWise and SharePoint, to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation. Balancing the demands of concurrent projects and ensuring compliance with Queensland Rail's document management processes.
