Position : Mid-level Corporate Associate Attorney Location : Northern Virginia Position overview: This firm could be the answer for those seeking a healthy work/life balance; performance isn't measured purely against billable hours. Typically, attorneys cover around 1600/year. Bonuses kick in at 1650. As their new Corporate Attorney, you'll represent companies in various industries, handling transactional matters such as formations, M&A, stock acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and spinoffs. You'll also provide general corporate counselling and work with a practice leader known for mentoring, empowering you to lead your own deals and manage clients. With the majority of partners being ‘home-grown’, you’ll be encouraged to develop your career here, including a path to partnership if it is your ambition. Job brief: The firm is looking to hire a mid-level corporate attorney with M&A experience. You’ll have: 5-8 years of transactional work experience Bar membership in VA; DC is a plus Experience advising and representing mid-market companies Open to in-house attorneys with law firm experience Compensation: Salary : $180,000 - $200,000, depending on experience. Bonus : $15k bonus at 1650 billables. Additional $15k bonus at 1800 billables. Healthcare : 100% of employee premiums covered.
