Our client is a leading global infrastructure company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). They continue to grow its global portfolio and are committed to long-term infrastructure investment. As part of its continued expansion, our client is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its Legal, Company Secretary, and Risk team. Based in Melbourne, and reporting to the General Counsel, Corporate, this role will provide legal advice and strategic support across the entire organisation, working closely with senior leadership, including the Group Executive Legal, Risk, and Governance, as well as legal teams in North America and Europe. Key Responsibilities: Legal support for contracts, governance, M&A transactions, and corporate actions while ensuring compliance and managing wider legal projects. Contribute to governance, risk, and policy frameworks through due diligence, delivering training, investigations, and regulatory reporting. Prepare Board papers, monitor regulatory changes, and support broader corporate initiatives. The role will suit a solution-focused, highly motivated commercial-minded Lawyer with 1 – 3 PQE, who is eager to kick start their in-house journey. Stakeholder management skills are essential, as you will be expected to interact independently. Private practice training from either a top tier or mid-tier law firm is a must, with experience across any of the following practice areas: Corporate, M&A, Banking or Competition. Listed company experience as well as experience in advising multi-jurisdictional corporations, particularly in the US and Europe, would be seen favourably. You must hold a current Victorian Practising Certificate.
