The Opportunity Seeking a detail-oriented Cost Analyst to join our team in Sydney for a 4-month period, to support financial planning and cost analysis activities. The role will involve using Power BI to analyse maintenance cost, lifecycle costs and operational expenditure data, to identify efficiencies, cost saving opportunities, trends and provide insights to support decision making. The focus will be on Maintenance cost analysis in the maritime domain (ship maintenance). Power BI is used to extract, transform and visualise maintenance cost data through reports and dashboards. You will be involved in preparing reports and presentations to communicate financial insights to stakeholders, ensuring data integrity and consistency. About you Experience in maintenance cost analysis, preferably within ship maintenance or maritime operations. Proficiency in Power BI for data analysis and reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Experience working with large datasets and automating financial reports. Strong communication and presentation skills. Experience in a defence, government, or corporate environment. Understanding of ship maintenance planning, lifecycle costing, and asset management. Be able to work 5 days a week from Garden Island. Baseline Clearance essential due to the urgent nature of this opportunity.
