Resourceful Recruitment has partnered with a leading provider of critical energy infrastructure for an experienced Estimation Manager. The organisation is the central link in the electricity supply chain, transporting high voltage electricity from the generators to the electricity distribution networks.Opportunity This role involves the development, implementation, and management of estimating systems, databases, and tools to ensure precise project cost estimates, while also providing technical support to bid managers. Reporting to the Manager of Engineering & Design, the Estimating Manager also leads, mentors, and coaches a team of engineers and analysts.Key Responsibilities: Lead a high-performing team of technical experts Plan estimation programs to optimise resource efficiency and ensure timely output delivery from the estimating team. Oversee cost estimates for all work programs. Cultivate and sustain strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders. Oversee and coordinate subject matter expert support in cost estimation for complex, network-critical projects valued at over $100M and major projects exceeding $0.5B. Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering. 10+ years of experience in project management, scheduling, and estimating. Demonstrated skill in developing staff through effective guidance, mentoring, and coaching. Expertise in commercial project estimating for major infrastructure projects. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders effectively. Proven expertise in estimation, including risk quantification and familiarity with industry-standard software. Experience in transmission lines or power infrastructure projects.
