The Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors is a private RTO providing Higher Education specialising in the delivery of external education programs in counselling, social work, community services, financial counselling, and various allied health courses. About the role This role may be based at our Melbourne or Perth campus. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functioning of the clinic, and oversight and supervision of international AIPC and Acknowledge Education tertiary students on counselling and social work placements.You'll have overall responsibility for the efficient and smooth service delivery and general operations of the clinic. Operate the clinic to support its ongoing effectiveness and viability. Develop and maintain professional relationships with a variety of community and health agencies to build a referral base for the clinic. Train all student counsellors and social workers in agency processes including (but not limited to) intake, referral, privacy, reporting, and client records. Monitor student counsellors and social workers in the delivery of services to clients. Facilitate case management meetings and training sessions for student counsellors and social workers. Conduct individual and group clinical supervision sessions with AIPC and Acknowledge Education tertiary students. Monitor student progress throughout all placements and liaise with academic staff as needed. About you You'll have a Masters’ level qualification in counselling, social work or psychology and a minimum five years’ work experience as a practicing Counsellor, Social Worker or Psychologist. In addition, you'll have: Experience in counselling or social work supervision including relevant professional development in supervising counsellors or social workers. Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills including an ability to negotiate, motivate, influence and build relationships, and work as part of a team. Experience with stakeholder and industry engagement, specifically liaison with other professional organisations and community groups. Demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity and ethical practice principles and demonstrated knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements relevant to the clinic environment. Membership (or eligibility for membership) of a relevant industry association.
