Talk to us about how this could work for you. Period of Appointment Two Years Hours per fortnight Up to 73.5 hours - flexible options available. Duties Tasks you may undertake throughout the traineeship include, but are not limited to: Monitor and block malicious behaviour and activities Vulnerability assessments and management Identify threats to the organization Update documentation for policies, procedures, standards and guidelines Research and evaluate applications and services for use by the agency Compliance reviews Troubleshoot platform and customer integration issues Security awareness If you are enthusiastic, reliable, and looking for a traineeship opportunity that may lead to an ongoing career, then this is the role for you! About you Works well within a team Problem-solving mindset Flexible to undertake a variety of tasks and respond to changing priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to comply with safe work practices General IT skills and genuine interest in Cyber Security, preferably currently completing or having completed a Certificate III in Information Technology or a similar level qualification or micro-credentials. Working rights in Australia or Australian PR or New Zealand citizenship Must be willing and capable of 'passing' the Tasmanian Registration for Working with Vulnerable People Must be willing and capable of 'passing' a National Police Clearance You will gain: Extensive training and support Industry recognised knowledge, experience and a qualification Personalised mentoring throughout your training and access to Cyber mentoring programs and attendance at community of practice sessions. Opportunity for career progression in this sector Ongoing and regular support from your MEGT Field officer Full-time employment (plus super and leave entitlements) ICT qualifications or industry experience at an equivalent Certificate III level would be an advantage.
