(If permanent work from home, there is an expectation that you will work from an office location on occasions). In this role, you'll be responsible for planning, managing, and executing the transfer of data from one system to another, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and minimal disruption to business operations throughout the process. Key role responsibilities: Testing and validation : conduct pre-migration testing, ensure quality assurance post migration, and provide recommendations to a migration steering committee. Project leadership : develop and document data migration strategies, ensure data migration processes comply with company policy, legal standards and industry regulations. Solution design : provide recommendations on optimal architecture, collaborate with technical team on implementation. Data assessment and analysis : map data fields and apply necessary transformations to adapt data formats or structures. Change management : execute data extraction and migration with minimal disruption, support business units to ensure system adoption. Data security : protect sensitive data by ensuring robust security measures during a migration. Continuous improvement : assess, recommend and implement enhancements through evaluation of the migration process. Desired Skills and Experience 2-3 years' experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on data transformation projects. Proficiency in designing and implementing ETL processes, and experience with associated tools e.g. Talend or similar. Experience in Salesforce is critical. Experience in Financial Services (and/or Xplan) highly valued. Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities to engage with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in SQL or similar. Experience planning/managing/executing migrations at scale. Experience converting files/documents between formats (i.e. binary to human readable). Familiarity with change management principles and techniques. Qualifications Desirable but not mandatory - Tertiary qualifications in Information & Communication Technology. Standard background checks include but are not excluded to criminal history, bankruptcy, ASIC. Remuneration package offered ranges between $110,000 to $150,000 inclusive of superannuation , dependent on level of education and experience.
