Take a lead role in the delivery of Phenomics Australia’s Digital Strategy. Support the development of partnerships and collaborations across industry, government, NGOs, philanthropists, cultural/research/education institutions. Contribute to the strategic priorities of Phenomics Australia on a national stage. Position Overview Phenomics Australia is a founding member of the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS), providing a national system of research facilities and expertise to facilitate precision medicine for the Australian and international research communities. Phenomics Australia has nodes across several Australian universities and medical research institutes. Located at ANU is the Phenomics Australia Executive Team, responsible for overall strategic planning, project administration, and operational oversight. The Data Operations Manager provides an important function within this Team, developing and delivering projects and initiatives, providing training, advice and expertise, and contributing to building best practice capabilities in research data handling across Phenomics Australia’s research facilities. The Data Operations Manager is responsible for improving Phenomics Australia’s research data management processes and ensuring the best possible services to our users. The Data Operations Manager will drive the delivery of the Phenomics Australia Digital Strategy. The Person We are looking for a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. The successful candidate will report to Phenomics Australia’s Director, Digital Platforms, engaging directly with the Phenomics Australia Executive, Board, Scientific Leadership Committee, and Node staff. The role requires regular liaison with, and coordination of, Phenomics Australia’s research nodes which are dispersed around the country and include a diverse range of people, primarily scientists, technical staff, administrators, and data custodians. Intimate knowledge of the NCRIS program and relevant previous experience within an NCRIS organisation as a technical specialist will therefore be necessary. As an important point of contact, the Data Operations Manager will also represent Phenomics Australia through cultivating close working relationships with key contacts to undertake this role effectively.
