Our Operations Research team focuses on building and deploying bespoke decision models for our clients. We tackle some of the most cutting-edge challenges in energy, scheduling, inventory management, and beyond. Our team is growing, and we are looking for someone that can help us in this journey. THE ROLE In this role you will work on building optimisation/ML models to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance decision-making for a range of sectors including telecommunications, energy and agriculture. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Developing optimisation models - both linear and mixed integer programs. Building software or working with software engineering teams to deploy the models. Providing expert advice in the fields of operations research, data science, and programming. Preparing quantitative analyses, building models, assisting in developing and documenting approaches to solving problems. Preparing detailed reports and presentations summarising modelling results, insights, and recommendations for stakeholders such as senior management or regulatory bodies. ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate must display the following skills and/or experience: Tertiary education in either Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or other highly quantitative degree (e.g. statistics, computational biology, etc.). 3+ years of work experience, at least 2 of which need to be in optimisation or other relevant fields. A strong background in programming and grasp of the best software engineering practices. Experience building large scale optimisation models that are performant and scale. Experience building optimisation models in varied domains. Familiarity with Gurobipy, CPLEX or other solvers. A deep understanding of Linear Programming, Mixed Integer Programming and optimisation specific heuristics (e.g. Large Neighborhood Search). Ability to learn programming languages or tools (softwares) quickly. ABOUT US We know that our people are our greatest asset.
